We will engage in varying workshops, seminars, discussions, and activities. Our main focus is to provide topics and programs to teach who the blackman is, the importance of unity among blackmen and how that brings unity with the blackwoman. This is explored in the Fatherhood and brotherhood in the black community topic. We also provide a Rites of Passage Program to assist young people to move from a self-centered, narcissistic and egoistic behavior or childhood to the communal, collective, responsible altruistic and caring behavior of fully developed adults.

Knowledge of Self Resource Corner
Knowledge of Self (K.O.S) is vital in the fight for the mind of the people. With so much information at our finger tips today through social media, Google and other search engines and conspiracy theories, it's hard to differentiate between fact or fiction and gain K.OS.
These books and supplemental information have assisted many in the search for knowledge...for the truth. They have been organized in a way to help lay a foundation first and then go into deeper aspects of knowledge (Knowledge is best delivered in order). Use the bibliography found in each of the books listed to help conduct scholarly research on a topic and never take anything on face value.
While books can help shape our thoughts, it’s important that we seek someone who can guide us through the materials as well. So, align yourself with a group on the same page of wanting to gain K.O.S or with someone who is able to guide you. You can contact us with any questions or if you are seeking guidance to gain K.O.S. Stop by the website from time to time for additional materials and links as we update this section regularly.

“Science matters - Achieving scientific literacy” by Hazen & trefil
“Knowledge of the basic ideas and principles of science is fundamental to cultural literacy. But most books on science are often too obscure or too specialized to do the general reader much good. Science Matters is a rare exception-a science book for the general reader that is informative enough to be a popular textbook for introductory courses in high school and college, and yet well-written enough to appeal to general readers uncomfortable with scientific jargon and complicated mathematics. And now, revised and expanded for the first time in nearly two decades, it is up-to-date, so that readers can enjoy Hazen and Trefil's refreshingly accessible explanations of the most recent developments in science, from particle physics to biotechnology”
The Google Meets Link to discuss the book is https://meet.google.com/adh-cogb-sjd. We will start at 7:00 PM (Eastern) on Sunday October 3, 2021.
Contact us to schedule a 15 min. discussion session with Brother YHWH if you have any questions regarding the materials you are reading in your search for the truth as you gain K.O.S

Political Science 101
“To members of the Press regarding the "hidden" hand of the Government--that loves to hide the truth and keep the masses ignorant so they can suck their blood and continue to live in luxury while the poor and the oppressed languish in their own ignorance.
"For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system, which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.
Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed." John F. Kennedy; Waldorf Astoria hotel, April 21, 1961.
Political science is a social science, which deals with systems of governance, and the analysis of political activities, political thoughts, and political behavior. It deals extensively with the theory and practice of politics, which is commonly thought of as determining of the distribution of power and resources.
In the United States, the government gets its power to govern from the people. We have a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Citizens in the United States shape their government and its policies, so they must learn about important public issues and get involved in their communities. Learning about American government helps you understand your rights and responsibilities and allows you to fully participate in the American political process. The Founders of this country decided that the United States should be a representative democracy. They wanted a nation ruled by laws, not by men. In a representative democracy, the people choose officials to make laws and represent their views and concerns in government. This of course is how it was intended to be, it is the ideal state and not reality. Since 1776 there has been several attempts to make changes to this structure through amendments, local and state laws/regulations that would affect certain segments of the population within the US. These changes have complicated certain factors or the social order within the US over the years, which must be fully appreciated and understood. Many of these changes have caused a sense of healthy paranoia, which have helped to develop several conspiracy theories about the US government. The latter has exacerbated the lack of understanding and mixed truths with fallacies. The following section will help you understand the principles of American democracy, the U.S. system of government, and the important rights and responsibilities of U.S. citizenship. The books listed below are good resources to understand those changes. It is good for anyone to understand how the government in the US is supposed to work and how it really works due the amendments, state and local laws/regulations. Then from that understanding, start to developing ways to improve it or continue the improvements made.

The Psychology of Poverty
“The lack of private assets intrudes on the dreams that many Americans have for their children. Extreme resource deficiency characterizes several groups. It may surprise some to learn that 62 percent of households headed by single parents are without savings or other financial assets, or that two of every five households with a high school degree lack a financial nest egg. Nearly one-third of all households—and 61 percent of all black households—are without financial resources…Middle-class blacks, for example, earn seventy cents for every dollar earned by middle-class whites but they possess only fifteen cents for every dollar of wealth held by middle-class whites. For the most part, the economic foundation of the black middle-class lacks one of the pillars that provide stability and security to the middle-class whites—assets.” M. Oliver & T. Shapiro, Black Wealth/White Wealth, page 7.
In this system of capitalism, there is a major difference between having money and being wealthy. Certainly, today many people have money, but do not have wealth. Money concerns the fait dollar bill in your pocket or in the bank. Wealth relates to the amount of resources or assets one has. Such as land, access to elements like gold, real estate, etc. that can be passed down from one generation to another. The concept of money and wealth building, especially in communities affected by racial and class warfare, should be an approach of a family or generational concept. It should be noted, from a generational aspect, money could be passed down to help purchase items that will assist in building wealth, but the value of money depreciate over time. A good practice is if money were passed down, the generation that obtains it use it to purchase items that would eventually build wealth, such as land, so that that generation would pass on the wealth to the next generation rather than money. Money should never be passed to the next generations more than three times if generational wealth is to be built within the family unit. A good practice if money is passed down that the inheritors/benefactors understand that they are receiving that money with the condition of investing in a wealth building endeavor with the money.
Poverty
According to Webster’s dictionary, the term poverty has been used to mean three things:
1. A. the state of one who lacks a usual or socially acceptable amount of money or material possessions. b. Renunciation as a member of a religious order of the right as an individual to own property
2. scarcity, dearth
3. a : debility due to malnutrition b : lack of fertility
In many communities impacted by classism produced from capitalism, there a state of poverty on several levels not just money and the ability to pass wealth on. What these communities of people tend to pass along to the next generation is the same sense of poverty, so you have neighborhoods that would not develop for years and individuals that are just barely making “ends” meet. Even if members of that community find a way to move out, their ability to save money and pass along wealth is still impacted because the generation before them did not provide a knowledge base for them to know how to save money and build wealth. Thus, while we see many people escaping the environment of poverty, they tend not to escape the mentality of it—and it is the mentality that conditions how a person deals with the lack of money and wealth. This is one of the reasons you may see those who may have moved out of the so-called impoverished community, living beyond their means. Ultimately, it should be understood that under capitalism, poverty must exist. It is merely a question of where we fall on that line where it exist (below or above).
Creating a Budget
One of the best ways to save money is to create a budget. There are many tools and applications (i.e. apps) presently available, which can help to create a budget. The budget should include the total amount of income obtained in a month. Then listing all the bills that are paid in the month (e.g. gas for car, car note, groceries, childcare, etc.) The bills are items that are necessary to maintain food, clothes and shelter. Then how much is spent on extracurricular activities in a month should be listed (such as eating out, movies, gym bill, etc.). The sum total of the bills and extra activities should then be subtracted from the total monthly income. If at the end of the month, based on your budget, you are in the negative some things from the extracurricular activities should be cut out permanently or temporarily, first. Then you should look at how to reduce the overall amount on the bills without incurring any late charges. Once your budget is in place and you are out of the negative, three months of your total bills need to be saved. For example, if your total monthly bills comes up to $100.00, you will need to save up to $300.00. The money saved cannot be touched unless there is an emergency. This may require making some temporary life changes and hard decisions until you are able to save up to three months of your bills and be able not to touch it unless there is a life emergency. If you have a good budget/savings, it is recommended that you invest the some of the money on items that will build wealth, such as real-estate, land, a business that can be handed to the next generation, etc.
Emergency Preparation
Emergency preparedness refers to the steps taken to be ready to respond to and survive during an emergency. ... Emergency preparedness is the ability to survive on your own, without rescuer assistance, for a period of time after a critical event such as a weather disaster or terrorist attack. Time and time again, when see emergency events those mostly impacted are those that are not prepared. There is a plethora of websites today that can help with preparing a survival kit, bug” out bags, take training such as CPR and other survival training. Some basic things to consider to prepare for most emergencies— 1. Purchase a safe and place in it: Passports, cash, some small medications that you need (you will need to check expiration and replace as needed), if you are comfortable with weapons, place a small handgun in the safe as well; 2. Purchase a container and place in it at least a week’s worth of non-perishable foods, medicine, emergency kit like band-aids, batteries, maps of your region and adjacent areas, multipurpose tool, a lighter, a portable radio, and clothes. You will need to have enough of these items for all your members in the household; 3. A bug-out bag that has the items listed in number 2, with smaller rations of food. The bag is in case you have to vacate the area. You will need a bag for each member of your family as well. If your are comfortable with weapons, it is recommended that you have some in each of the cases listed above. Take some training in the use of them. We are not advocating the use or possession of weapons, only suggesting it with the understanding you will obtain training in the use of them and use them only when the need arises. Ultimately, your goal in an emergency is to have food, clothes and shelter. Have evacuation plans while you are home and work. Discuss them with your family. If you are separated, discuss a meeting location.

Relationship Fundamentals
“The western “love” concept, you take it apart, is really just lust. But love transcends just the physical. Love is disposition, behavior, attitude, thoughts, likes, dislikes – these things make a beautiful woman, a beautiful wife. This is the beauty that never fades” – Malcolm X.
Relationship building, no matter what type of relationship, is ultimately centered on a spiritual connection. Spiritual in this case is not dealing with something religious or mysterious. In fact, spirituality and religion are not synonymous at all. For years, through the lack of knowledge, the two terms were deliberately entwined to foster a false connection with something or someone outside of self. The root of the word spirituality is spirit, which comes from the Hebrew word nephesh. Nephesh means air, the air within or simply “life force”. Therefore, when we deal with spirituality we are dealing with the life force of a thing or its true nature. A truly spiritual person has a deep understanding of self and knows who he or she is. They understand the connection to the concept of universal creation and how they played a part in that creation.
Love
The actual definition of love is a mental state of understanding created through care and affection. A person needs to love himself or herself before they can even began to love another. Love is not an emotion; it is not something that is fleeting…it is a strong bond or force similar as gravity. Therefore, we attract others based on the understanding of ourselves (love) and our deep connection (spirituality) we have with ourselves. One should look at self, first when the question of “why a certain type of man/woman is in my life?”
Keys to building a healthy relationship
When building a relationship, these 12 elements must be at the core of the relationship. The deeper these elements are present or are rooted, the deeper the relationship…the more authentic it is.
1. KNOWLEDGE: is the supreme science of all things in existence and the infinite manifestation of all intelligence, all experience and all thought.
2. WISDOM: is the two-way reflection and manifested plan of Knowledge drawn up in the mind and expressed through one’s ways, words and action.
3. UNDERSTANDING: is the best part of life’s creation. Also, to born a clear mental picture of a person place or thing.
4. FREEDOM: is to live life and express self and culture without restraints.
5. JUSTICE: is the penalty or reward for one’s ways and actions
6. EQUALITY: is to be equal in all aspects of life. Also, showing and proving that no man/woman is above another man/woman.
7. TRUTH/POWER: is the purest form of Knowledge, which is right and exact at all times/ Power is the ability to define and or control an observable fact and make it act in a preferred manner.
8. UNITY: is man/woman working together as one in all things, all endeavors or pursuits to fulfill a common objective
9. SUCCESS: is to be triumphant in everything that one deals with.
10. LOVE: is a mental state of understanding created through care and affection.
11. PEACE: is the absence of all confusion and the orderly manifestation of Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding; also a universal greeting of the righteous.
12. HAPPINESS: is the emotion expressed out of love when one has found peace with self.
